Fun! Monday!

I really like this Fun Monday thing because as I was faced with having to work an actual 5 day work week this morning, I remembered that I get to put a little something on here, and The Internet! They will look at it!

This week Angela is the hostess with the mostess and here's what she wants:

For today's Fun Monday, continuing in the spirit of "being interested in people", I would like to know, or see, what's on, in or under your bedside table! So open those draws and bare your soul to us! Is there anything special there that has a story or a memory that you can tell us about? Books that you keep there to delve into from time to time? Trinkets that you don't know where else to put? Let's see!

Unfortunately for those who look at my bedside table, this is going to be a little boring. The table is in the far corner of the room, and I just never go over there. So not much excitement makes its way there, but I'll show you what I do have.
So there it is, in all it's teeny tiny glory. I have it numbered for your convenience.

1. A glass of water. I always fix myself a glass of ice water before bed because I find it to be comforting. I suppose it's because when you are a little kid, you always ask your parents for a glass of water because that meant you got to stay up the few extra minutes it took for them to get it. I usually do not drink it.

2. Radio/alarm clock. It tries to wake me up.

3. Tar-jjjay lamp. I have another one sitting on my dresser.

4. Hand and foot cream. Gotta keep 'em soft!

5. A scented candle. For when I want to romance myself.

6. Books. From bottom to top: Maggie's book, My ever changing Bucket List, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (which I am currently reading), Vinegar Hill (next in line), and my fatass journal, where I write down what I eat so I won't get fat. :o)

7. Cellphone. It also tries to wake me up.

8. Pictures I have not yet hung. I love them, I just can't decide where to put them.

I also took a picture of the underside. I told myself that whatever was under there, I would still show. That could have gotten really embarrassing and really personal. Luckily, I have cleaned my room recently. :o)

1. Cell phone charger.

2. The rest of the Lord of the Rings series.

3. Camera battery recharger.

So there you have it. Had the assignment said to take a picture of your closet or dresser....that would been a lot longer for me to explain!!

I just love Tar-Jay. Bestest store ever.
I think I'll go look under my bed for my battery charger now that you've mentioned it.

Yep, several people have recommended that I head out to Tar-jay to buy a proper reading lamp. I'm going to start putting a glass of water by the bed--good idea. I read Vinegar Hill several years ago and remember that it was odd, but good.

how does that stick (lamp?) hold the table up? And how do you number things? You have posed more questions than answers young lady - NLM

You make yourself a glass of water every night that you usually do not drink. Hmmmmm.

Southern Doll said...

Kaycie - yes. It's a habit. Sometimes I drink it, but never all of it.

Since you are only 26, I hope that your Bucket List is very, very long.

I love how you # your items! Did you do that with Photoshop? I just love the LOTR series the books are so much better than the movies, but I think they did a great job trying to get the main parts in the movie. Have you read the Hobbit? I just loved all 4 of those books!

I say Tar-Jay too! It is my favorite store...too bad the closest one is an hour away!

You have a head start on next weeks FM since you already have a bucket list!

I have one of those round tables I need to get rid of if you want it for the other side of your bed. I am out of room in my house.

I am also a Tar-jay fan. Have you been to the new one at Atlantic Station yet? I have to forget it's there because it's less than a mile from my house and I would spend my whole paycheck there if I go too often.

I have two of those little tables. At one time I used them downstairs but now they are spare bedrooms. I always find things under the tablecloth when my grandchildren have been staying!!

You're the second person who I've been to who numbered their entry, very clever!

I do the glass of water/but don't drink it every night thing too...funny!

I also am one that gets a glass of water by the bedside every night. If I don't drink it during the night, I try to chug it in the morning.

How did you get those numbers? You are super cool!
